The company from Sant Boi de Llobregat was chosen for the second of the visits organised by the Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia to other member companies, so that they can share experiences, knowledge and doubts. Evarm is an integration engineering company specialised in converting professional vehicles to be powered by electricity and alternative fuels such as natural gas and hydrogen.

The company has two plants. The first is involved in research and development, one of its strengths and Evarm’s main focus, with two prototypes of hydrogen cars and another of a truck also powered by hydrogen. The second, which was also visited during the day, assembles the vehicles. Evarm plans to continue working on hydrogen vehicles, one of the company’s lines of growth. In the first plant, visitors were shown the first hydrogen truck that will take part in the Dakar Rally, prepared by Evarm, which is currently undergoing the final tests.

The Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia will continue to organise visits to member companies. After starting with Indox and continuing with Evarm, on 1 December the members of the Valley will be able to visit the first plant in Spain that produces and dispenses green hydrogen for public use, the Iberdrola plant in the Zona Franca of Barcelona, used mainly by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona and other companies, such as Evarm.
